BBC High Definition Natural History Collection announced
Warner Bros. today announced BBC High Definition Natural History Collection, an 8 disc Blu-ray set that includes Planet Earth Episodes 1-11, Wild China Episodes 1-6, Galapagos Episodes 1-3 and Ganges Episodes 1-3. The set is scheduled for release on July 22, 2008. Don’t forget to check out the cover art.
Planet Earth, with an unprecedented production budget of $25 million, takes you to places you have never seen before. Five years in production, over 2000 days in the field, using 40 cameramen filming across 200 locations, shot entirely in high definition.
An exotic fusion of natural history and Oriental adventure, Wild China is a series of journeys through four startlingly different landscapes, each based around the travels of a real historical character. Sony announced today that the box-office hit “21″ will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 22, 2008. Bonus Blu-ray features shared with the DVD version include audio commentary with director Robert Luketic and cast along with three featurettes: “21: The Advantage Player,” “Basic Strategy: A Complete Film Journal,” and “Money Plays: A Tour of the Good Life”. Exclusive to the Blu-ray version is the BD-Java game “21: Virtual Blackjack.”
