Sony Pictures Home Entertainment invites you to make a date with the horror hit PROM NIGHT, arriving August 19th on Blu-ray, DVD and PSP.
PROM NIGHT, available on DVD in its original theatrical version and on Unrated DVD, Blu-ray and PSP, in an all-new extended version. Both the DVD and Blu-ray editions come packed with special features, including an alternate ending, deleted scenes with optional commentary, a gag reel, director and cast commentary and the behind-the-scenes featurettes “A Night to Remember: The Making of Prom Night,†and “Prom Night Photo Album: Real Prom Stories From the Cast.†Exclusive to the Blu-ray is the Bonus View Storyboard Comparison, featuring BD Picture in Picture.
Donna’s senior prom is supposed to be the best night of her life. After surviving a horrible tragedy, she has finally moved on and is enjoying her last year of high school. Surrounded by her best friends, she should be safe from the horrors of her past. Fox has announced that “The Omen” is coming to Blu-ray this September 9th, along with “The Omen: The Collection,” featuring all four movies, including the 2006 remake.
No specs have been announced yet but you can at least expect the bonus features found on the DVD versions. MSRP is $39.98 for The Omen, while the box set’s MSRP is $129.98. But as always, you’ll be able to buy them for much less.

According to Amazon:
“Blu-Ray high-def exclusive content: movie cash to see The Dark Knight in theaters (a $7.50 value), 32-page exclusive Dark Knight Prologue book, 16-page comic book adaptation of the first 6 minutes of The Dark Knight, a Batman Begins lenticular, and five collectible post cards.”
Not sure about that USB thumbdrive. Perhaps the books are in pdf format and not actual books.
Wal-Mart announced today that from June 8-14 it is offering a $100 Wal-Mart gift card with the purchase of any Blu-ray player, including the PS3.
Wal-Mart also added Magnavox, Samsung and Panasonic brand Blu-ray players to its shelves. But wait, that’s not all! Also staring June 8, Wal-Mart will sell select Blu-ray movies for only $15, including 3:10 to Yuma, Shooter and 300.
