Bonus features for 6-Disc ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Blu-ray set

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment today announced the bonus features that will be included in the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy: 6-Disc Blu-ray collection, available on September 16, 2008. All three films from producer Jerry Bruckheimer will be available for the first time together in a Blu-ray collection.

The six-disc set features tons of bonus features including behind-the-scenes documentaries, bloopers and a Blu-ray exclusive: Enter the Maelstrom, which takes viewers deep into the franchise’s conclusion.

Paramount announces ‘Sweeney Todd’ Blu-ray

Dreamworks and Paramount today announced the upcoming Blu-ray release of ‘Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’, scheduled for release on October 21, 2008. The movie will be presented in 1.85:1 1080p video with a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio.

Bonus features include a ‘making of’ featurette, a press conference video, photo galleries, and much more — all of which was shot in HD.

Pirates of the Caribbean: 3-Movie Collection announced

Disney today announced Pirates of the Caribbean: 3-Movie Collection, a six-disc Blu-ray box set containing all three Pirates movies, scheduled for release on September 16, 2008.

The box set includes: Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.

No new features are included. They are merely taking all three currently available movies and packaging together in one convenient package. Why should you care? Because this means it’ll be cheaper to buy all three films together!
