Gone with the Wind, Wizard of Oz, Lord of the Rings trilogy head to Blu-ray in 2009

George Feltenstein, Senior VP of Warner Home Video, revealed that ‘Gone with the Wind’ and ‘The Wizard of Oz’ will make their Blu-ray debuts in 2009. Both titles will also take advantage of BD-Live technology to provide viewers with tons of bonus content. Also, he revealed that ‘An American in Paris’ and ‘A Star is Born’ are also heading to Blu-ray.

Last but not least, he leads us to believe that the entire Lord of the Rings series may make its high-def debut in 2009, as opposed to only ‘The Fellowship of the Ring,’ which was previously announced for a 2009 release.
